Who We Are

The board and staff of Resources for Child Caring strives to raise the standard of care for children so they can grow emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually and contribute to our community. Using the best knowledge from the early childhood field, we provide tools and services that strengthen parents and caregivers.

Since 1971, we have been committed to making child care the best that it can be — a solution for working parents, a fulfilling living for caregivers and most importantly, an opportunity to enrich the lives of children in care situations.

Resources for Child Caring's mission is to advance quality care and education of children in their crucial early years. Primary strategies are as follows:

  • Build the knowledge and skills of early care providers and educators
  • Set the standard for services that enhance the effectiveness of parents, care providers and communities to meet the needs of children
  • Improve the system of early care and education by advocating for exemplary public policies at all levels of government
  • Publish and distribute award-winning books for early childhood professionals through our publishing division Redleaf Press

Resources for Child Caring primarily serves the Twin Cities seven-county metro area but also reaches audiences regionally and nationally through publications and business training services.
