What do you need to know to help a choking infant? How do you deal with an angry child? What art projects can be done that won't cost you an arm and a leg? Over 300 classes a year at Resources for Child Caring will give you the training you need to answer questions like these. Classes are held at Resources for Child Caring as well as sites around the east and west metro. Classes are also available in Spanish, Hmong, and Somali.

If you are interested in the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, the classes at Resources for Child Caring will meet the CDA training requirements. For more information, contact our career guidance coordinator at 651-641-6653.

Tailoring Your Training

Need special training? Whether you are a center director looking to train new staff or the leader of a family child care provider group, we can help. Resources for Child Caring's experienced trainers will present workshops at your site on a wide variety of topics. Topics available include:

  • Programming for infants, toddlers, preschool, and school-age programs
  • Curriculum for family child care and group care providers
  • Communicating with parents
  • Growth and development for all ages of children
  • Special interest topics including diversity and cultural awareness, child abuse and neglect prevention, and behavioral issues
