Resources for Child Caring is part of a nationwide child care resource and referral system (also known as a CCR&R;). CCR&R; agencies support the early childhood professional by filling vacancies with parent referrals; improving programs through technical assistance, training, and grants; and increasing marketability and knowledge through research, assessments, and links to community resources.

CCR&Rs; also maintain the child care database and connect with parents through referrals and links with agencies and businesses. Staff can link providers to information on licensing regulations, zoning requirements, opportunities for small business loans, and grant opportunities.

The new statewide structure of the CCR&R; system includes 19 local CCR&R; agencies providing baseline services such as provider recruitment, collaborations, working with community members and training, and grants advisory committees. Six geographic service districts will provide training coordination; referrals to parents looking for child care; data collection; technical assistance, information, and resources to communities; and grants administration.
